About the event
Join Lisa, an Exeter artist and designer at The Birdhouse Cafe in Pinces Gardens, St Thomas, to explore nature and the positive effects it has on our well being in daily life.
We will collect nature from our surroundings to mindfully hand sew self portraits onto fabric.
The indoor space is limited to x8 people and there is plenty of outdoor areas by the cafe so bring your picnic blankets and camping chairs!
Our individual projects will then be mounted into biodegradable coffee lids which are waste products from the Birdhouse cafe.
You’re invited to exhibit your completed work to be included within the collaborative community art installation at The Birdhouse and then to join us for a private celebration event following AWE 2025.
Open to all adults and families. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
